Here's What Happened When I Used Stealth Every Day For 30 Days

Day 1: April 17, 2020 Day 30: May 16, 2020

For several months, I saw the Stealth ads pop up on my Facebook, but I was not convinced I should spend money on something that probably wouldn’t work.

Fast forward to March 2020, Shelter-in-Place (COVID19). My youngest son’s PE teacher was assigning planks as part of his exercise routine during distant-learning. To keep my son motivated, I did the exercises with him. I kept seeing the Stealth ads on Facebook, and I decided to finally go for it. I opted for the yellow board since it was on sale for $99. I figured I wasn’t out spending money on other items (i.e. hair, nails, dining out), so if this product didn’t work, I wouldn’t be out too much cash. My Stealth arrived on April 17, 2020, which is the beginning of this wonderful journey. First, here’s a little background about me, mostly good and some not so good.

I just turned 47 in May. I am married and a mother to two boys, one 15-year-old and one almost 12-year-old. I work in public education; I taught high school for 17 years, and I am now an assistant principal. I am vegetarian—practically vegan with the exception of eggs—and, I do my best to eat as clean as possible. I run. I don’t run fast (about a 10-12 minute mile, depending on the day), but I run. I am currently training for a 15K. I rarely drink; I may have a glass of wine 1-2 times/month. I don’t smoke. I don’t take any medication. I gave up soda almost three years ago. My only true vice is coffee...and maybe a piece of dark chocolate every so often. On paper, I should be the healthiest and fittest person I know. But, I struggle, and THE STRUGGLE IS REAL. I struggle with weight gain. I can look at food and gain 5 pounds. I especially struggle with body dysmorphia. I never seem to give myself credit for what I am doing right, and I always focus on my flaws and only recognize what I think is wrong. At 47, I should be proud of my overall health. My doctor tells me this after every physical. I really am trying to overcome this, and I am slowly making progress. To be continued...

Now, let us get back to the Stealth. I quickly realized on Day 1 (April 17) that I was not ready for anything over 1 minute. By Day 4, I began adding 5 seconds to my time every day because I was getting the hang of planking, and I wanted to build my endurance, slow and steady. When Day 30 rolled around, I was successfully at 3 minutes, 15 seconds.

I didn’t bother taking my measurements on the first day (I should have), but I did remember to take my before picture. I am so glad I did this. After one month of using the Stealth every day, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I compared my Day 1/Day 30 pictures. My body had DEFINITELY changed, and the only thing I was doing differently in my life was using my Stealth. And, I was only using the Stealth for less than 4 minutes/day! My two-month mark is coming up soon (I’m planking at about 4 minutes, 30 seconds), and I am patiently waiting to take my 60-Day progress picture next week. I am confident I will see more positive change.

The Stealth community is by far the most encouraging group I belong to on Facebook. I have never seen one negative comment or judgment towards another. This is a group that has each other’s backs. I love the energy that everyone gives, so THANK YOU!

I continue to use my Stealth every day. My rule is I do not go to bed until I have used it. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for me not to. I am not suffering or recovering from any injuries, like some of my fellow Stealthers (is that a word?). I am healthy. My Stealth takes less than 5 minutes of my day, so what excuse can I really give for not doing it? There isn’t any. This is the best investment I made for myself, and I will continue to encourage others to do the same.
