Hi. My name is Karen. I am 63 years old. My main form of exercise is usually walking 2-5 miles a day. Unfortunately, living in the Midwest during the winter doesn't always cooperate with that plan.
I saw the Stealth advertised on Facebook. I thought that looks like fun and could be interesting. Even though I was never a game player, why not give it a try. My upper body strength and core were not my strongest attribute. Since Stealth said this is what works, I decided to give it a try and purchased it.
My first few tries weren't as bad as I thought because I did them in the modified knee position. Unfortunately, the first day I was having so much fun, I WAY overdid it. The next day when I woke up, I felt like I had been beaten up. But guess what, it didn't stop me from getting right back on. And now I am addicted. I've gone from all knees to toes, knees, toes, knees until I can no longer continue. On Matt's one-minute challenges I'm on my toes for the entire time. Woo-hoo!!!! I get very envious of other people's scores, but then I look at their ages and the length of time they have been playing. I can't compete. So now, I try to beat myself every day. I am in a race against Karen.
My job is a flight attendant. I have already noticed I am stronger while closing the overhead bins. I've had a much easier time putting my own luggage into the bins. I forgot to mention, both of my shoulders had rotator cuff tears within the last 2 years. Both were surgically repaired. And both are currently re-torn.
I'm building all of those shoulder muscles back up, which has decreased any pain I was having too almost non-existent. Hopefully this will prevent any further surgeries.
I have always been on the smaller size, but my waist is definitely more defined now. My arms are becoming very well-toned and this is only day 34. I generally average 20-30 minutes throughout the day.
On the mornings when I have to work early, I set my alarm earlier to get up and Stealth a few minutes before I go on my trip. When I return late at night, I jump on my Stealth before I go to bed. Last night I got home at 11:40 pm. I put on my pj's and went on my Stealth for 8 minutes. This is the most dedicated I have ever been to exercise. Summer can't come soon enough so I can show off my new self. It's jeans and sweatshirts for a few more months here in the Midwest.
And one last note, I have always been a horrible sleeper. Since I started using the Stealth, I have been able to sleep every single night!!!
